Trip to: Disney Day 2!

Alright, so I'm going to start off by saying that this isn't Disney World, but since like 90% of the trip was Disney World, that's what the whole series is called. But today's post is about Universal Studios Island of Adventure!

We arrived at the park before it opened that day, so we spent awhile waiting behind a rope. As soon as they let us in, we bolted for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (of course), more specifically: The Forbidden Journey.

Even though we got there really early, we were still in line for at least an hour and a half. The ride was a lot different than I expected it to be! I thought it would be some ride where you'd sit in a little car thing and ride through Hogwarts. So wrong! It was really fun though, albeit more intense than I expected! And shorter :(

Afterwards, we spent some time walking around Hogsmeade and doing a little bit of shopping: I picked up a mug & a Ravenclaw scarf.

After shopping we had lunch in The Three Broomsticks. We got Cornish Pasties, Shepherds Pie, Ribs, and something else that I didn't take a picture of xD The food was pretty good, nothing spectacular, but good. Unfortunately, although I really wanted to love Butterbeer, I hate to say I'm not a fan. It tasted like frosting. I literally felt like I was drinking a mug of liquid frosting. The first sip was good, but afterwards it was just too much.

Next was the Cat in the Hat ride (which I really liked! Definitely not for those who are prone to motion sickness though) and the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride (what a mouthful). Both lines were over an hour long, unfortunately (thanks to a blend of Fast Passes and arriving early, we didn't wait very long for anything at any of the Disney parks).

After riding the Amazing Adventures of Spider Man (single riders line, which thankfully cut the wait time dramatically. My brother and I both were in the line and still ended up next to each other!) and having a snack at a quick service place and also getting a funnel cake, we decided to head back. I think Universal is definitely a thrill ride place, and nobody in my family's a thrill ride person. We went there for the WWoHP which was a bit small :( I hear they're expanding though, so that's cool!

After just chilling in our resort for awhile, we walked over to the Beach and Yacht Clubs to have dinner at Beaches and Cream, an adorable little soda shop. Good food and great atmosphere.

So I guess that the end of Day 2! Up next: Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom!
